The writers lay the foundation for a show/movie to be good or bad. they are very important to the industry and need to be compensated accordingly. The actors that are getting paid millions are in minority of all the actors in hollywood that are part of the Screen Actors Guild. They have a strike scheduled for June '08. i'm not exactly sure where their beef lies with producers, but i imagine it is similar to the writers'. Some actors are terribly over paid. I have been on sets before. The actor gets millions. Yet there are apprentices and other people on the sets who get next to nothing and are struggling.
