If I had only had one these last year it might have saved me from ransacking my house for things this year. I still cannot find a few things that I know are still here somewhere probably in some more boxes that I haven’t opened yet because they are buried underneath other stuff. I have been making an attempt this past weekend by taking old computers, parts and TVs to the local charity. Now if I could just go through the rest of it and label the stuff I’d be golden. We actually use labels at the hospital more often than one person would think by labeling the boxes for each gauze, needle, etc. It saves a lot of time searching through things especially when you are in an immediate situation. Heck even our mailboxes in the office are labeled and I do believe we use the DYMO Labelmaker for this. I use it to put my name on my office supplies because they have a habit of walking off.
Kids can get excited about school by labeling some of their notebooks for each class and their supplies so as to make sure they do not get stolen at school. You know with kids preschool age and elementary age, labeling items at home can help them learn how to read as well because if you put things at their level with labels on them and ask them to get whatever object or to put things away in certain bins this could be a big boost. You could even let the kids help type out the labels because it could be fun for them.

I use a label maker at work! I love it.
I love my labelmaker. People think I label stuff because I’m a neat freak (guilty) but I really label stuff because I’m lazy! I hate to waste time searching around for something because I usually ‘rehome’ something to a better place and then forget that I rehomed the item. labeling keeps me honest about putting stuff back and my husband and I no longer have those “hooooooney where did you put the *whatever*?”
Awww…poor puppy. Glad she made it through okay and hope the other surgeries go well!
I always have such problems with my stuff. And after reading your post and his comments I’ve just decided to use a label maker as a good helper!!! Thanks :start:
