No where, that’s where. Along with all the cutbacks and the hospital wanting people to take furloughs without pay the last time I saw a bonus was about $300 and they taxed the sucker. I’ve been here almost 20 years and have seen 2, count them 2 bonuses. It’s just not right but there isn’t much anybody can do I guess unless getting a new job with bonuses is in the cards. With the economy the way it is though I doubt anybody is going to be getting bonuses but I most likely am wrong and those people are going to be really lucky. At least we have/had, not sure if it is still there but last Friday we had a gas station that was selling gas for 99 cents. That’s right folks, eat your hearts out.
Some people aren’t that lucky though and during this holiday season I need coupons just like you need coupons. I’m going to be digging way deep for buying gifts this year IF I can even scrounge up that much due to lack of available work on my second job and this possible furlough thing going on. I might as well pass these saving on to you too because I know I’m not the only one feeling this strain. I have a few friends who have lost a few thousand on the stock market and then I have one friend who has lost thousands upon thousands. I feel for these people and am glad I didn’t have the money to invest but then again, I don’t have anything to fall back on either.
I can’t remember the last time I got a bonus. Actually, it was when I worked at the dealership and it was $50. WTF am I going to do with that? Where I am now we get a stupid company logo item….blah.
