I like doing this for a couple of reasons. One of them is the fact that they keep building things on that there is always something new to visit. Sometimes you just want to get away but don’t want to go to far from home because you could not get off from work and will go to the next biggest city and visit whatever attractions they have. Like for me it would be Columbia. I keep hearing people visiting the Columbia Zoo up there and maybe I need to go back and check it out. Just this past year I had a friend come down from North Carolina and we toured Market Street where we ran into some of the vendors who were giving away free passes to things so long as we did a free tour to one of the local time share places and we gave it a go and he actually learned a few new things as he has a time share here in Myrtle Beach and it was the same company. But you don’t care about that, we ended up getting some free passes to Middleton Place which quite honestly I had never been to before and we had a great time and learned a lot about some of the history in the area. Finding things to do in Charleston are right there in your backyard just like the Middleton Place is for me.
After my friends visit down here he went to California and took the Alcatraz tour which I am jealous of but at least he took pictures and mailed them to me on a CD. That is one place I hope to get to on my travels of the US although it has been rather limited at the moment. I know I have toured more of Europe than I have here and I need to change that.
Right now if you sign up with Trusted Tours & Attractions newsletter you could be in the drawing for a new iPod Nano but the real treat is getting family vacation ideas for the summers. We used to go visit my grandfather and great grandparents every summer as a child.

I think people very seldom travel their own state. You can always hear people travelling from one end of the world to another. I personally would definitely recommend Hawaii
I think some people forget what their own state has to offer!
My only experience with South Carolina was not a good one. Can you say fire ants?
I tagged you for an easy little meme at http://www.valmg.com/index.php/2008/eight-things-you-dont-know-about-me/
If you want to do it great, if not that’s ok too.
