Thunderbird E-Mail

I lost all my fricken emails. I use Thunderbird for my e-mail program and have had no issues with it since starting it up. I download all my e-mails to my computer and do not leave them on the server. I open up my e-mail last night, nothing, zilch, zero, empty. It was 2:00 AM, I didn’t feel like fiddling with it. I check it again this morning. Same result. I test e-mailed myself a few times, nothing, got a friend to e-mail me and it came through with 1 of my test e-mails. I didn’t delete any of my files. I know it is still there on my computer. How the heck do I access it? It won’t let me import from that option. I cannot believe this happened :/ I also lost all the e-mails that people had sent me yesterday too. It is just for my main inbox, all my subfolders still have their e-mails in them.
