There’s nothing like someone faking to work at your place of business ripping you off. But what’s even worse is when the campus police can’t catch the guy. It’s not new having things stolen in our part of the hospital because let’s face it, it’s the trashiest building because it’s one of the first wings built and probably has not been updated in forever. I know we’ve had some CD players and laptops stolen by housekeeping which we found btw in a pawn shop in New York but couldn’t get it back because we are in another state. They tried to steal a brand new vacuum cleaner that they put in the ceiling tiles the IT people found while rewiring the building for the upgrade in our network. I have even had money taken from my wallet I keep in my desk drawer all the way in the back one day but I have a feeling it was a former coworker who ended up getting fired for some other things she stole too. So now this guy is running through I don’t know how many buildings wearing a hospital ID tag of who’s name I have no idea going into offices trying to find purses to steal wallets out of. He’s hit a few places and almost got nailed in one department when the lady caught him red handed in her purse. Why she didn’t tackle him then is beyond me because that was a couple of months ago and apparently he is back as one of my co-workers just saw him again. Good thing I lock my wallet up now because of these people next to me and today wasn’t a clinic day so I’m at my desk where it is kept.

That must be horrible to try to work in that kind of environment. Surely there must be some way to catch this guy…
