Weight Fluctuations

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 | Personal with Comments Off

As we get older we must become more aware of what we eat and be sure to exercise regularly. Not everybody can have those great genes with fast metabolisms. I know it sure as heck does not run in my family. Some years ago I went to our Weight Management division and got on their Slimfast study for 3 years which consisted of Slimfast protein bars, shakes, and protein powders. Lost just over 80 lbs and got down to almost 150 with counting how many calories I was eating as well as exercise. Since that study has been over I have slacked on my eating portions as well as what I eat and have gained some of it back. I can only blame myself. I am working towards getting it off again though.

Due to my back limitations now it is even worse as I cannot lift weights like I used to because it is very difficult to bend over into the proper positions. Taking a spinning class actually hurts as well when I have to sit in the seat for more than a few minutes and I usually end up in position 2 or 3 which is standing or over the handle bars for almost the entire hour. Running eliminates my back pain due to the endorphins and I now do that more often and for longer periods of time because I end up being pain free which is a nice feeling. I am still waiting for my orthopedics appointment which is in May for my steroid injection. If I don’t get that injection the same day I see them I’m going to go ballistic because this pain is horrendous and I do NOT like taking pain pills on a daily basis considering they only just take the edge off so most of the time I suffer because I won’t take them.

Yes, I know it’s Sunday. Finals are coming up so I’ve been a bit preoccupied. Classes end this semester on the 30th and I get a month off which I CANNOT wait for. Anywho, more questions and more answers from me to you brought by My Little Life.

Buy the bare minimum at full price and stock up on the sale stuff especially if it can be frozen.

B. Visit Australia.
C. Skydiving.

Heat because honestly I barely use it during the winter here but I definitely need that A/C to cut the humidity because that’s what will get ya down here.

So many to choose from but I’m gonna go with the ole standby of whiskey/diet coke.

5. What was your first job & how old were you?
Taco Bell employee, age 16/17.

1. Which three words would describe you best?
Stubborn, Loner, Loyal

2. Describe your favorite place in the whole world.
An island with palm trees, a nice hut with electricity, food, constant warm weather, and no storms, and a cat.

3. Sunsets, Sunrises or Full Moons?
Sunsets are my favorite. It’s winding down the busy day as well as during the summer somewhat cooler and you can do whatever it is you feel like doing.

4. If you were to get reincarnated what or who would you want to come back as?
Hmm, not sure what sort of animal, maybe a cat but I want it to be in the late 21st century so I can see if we really do have flying cars by then.

5. Are you doing what you thought you’d be doing when you graduated high school?

Ignore it.

Nothing unusual that I can think of. I do keep the flour and sugar in the fridge though because otherwise it might get bugs.

3. If you were in the “Miss America” (or another) talent competition, what would your talent be?
Uhhh, I have no talent what so ever.

4. What is one thing you miss about being a kid?
Not being responsible.

5. If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?
Not sure about the last name but the first name would be Terry since whenever people want names for things I give them that because nobody can understand me when I say my first one and immediately say something else. It baffles me every time.

1. What movie or movies do you have to watch when they are on TV? (submitted by @rndmcrftyGAgrl)
Do I HAVE to watch? None. I own the TV remote in my house and the dogs have no say so in what I watch. But the ones WANT to watch whenever they are on TV includes a lot of the action films including trilogies such as Underworld, The Bourne Trilogy, X-Men. Stuff like that.

2. When you have out of town visitors, what fun places do you take them to in your town? (Or where do you play tourist in your own town?)
We will go strolling downtown at the local market and see the sites. That could take days depending on how fast or slow you stroll and what entertainment might be going on at that time.

3. What was the first album, CD, Download you ever bought?
Wow, that was so long ago. The first album I bought was Chicago double album set.

4. Do you speak more than one language and which ones? If not, what language would you like to know?
In the past I was fluent in German when I lived in Germany while we were stationed there. It was mandatory to take a German class in every single grade starting with 1st grade. Once we came back to the states I learned French because German was not offered. I remember more of the French than anything and want to go back to become more fluent in it.

5. What is your dream job?
Building and fixing computers which will hopefully be happening soon after I graduate.

It wouldn’t be on this blog and I’m not willing to advertise where it would be.
