I Need Effin Earmuffs

I swear if I could ram my elbow into the dogs side at night like I used to do with an ex to get her to stop snoring I would. And what kills me is she is already laying on her side. I hear this all night long these days. Yes it is due to her being overweight but she is on weight loss food and has been for some time. Heck they both eat it because I can’t have one eating out of one bowl and the other not. It just doesn’t work. She will finally stop snoring around 4-5 AM but by then I usually give up trying to get any sleep and wait for the alarm clock to go off.

In other news, I’m still looking for a part time job. Went and applied at a Bingo place yesterday. That could be fun if I can get in and I might end up playing a few hands to boot too lol

Football in T-14 minutes. Got my picks all set up for this weekend. Eagles play the Panthers and we should get that on TV this weekend and we better beat the crap out of the Panthers too.

Who’s Ready for some Football?

I have my philly schedule already loaded up on my blackberry calendar so I will be sure to catch any game I can and if not watch it online. Last I read we still hadn’t officially signed Maclin and we need him bad.

I read today that Burress was finally indicted on shooting himself in the leg and they want him to have 3 1/2 years in jail. Not sure when that will start or if there is going to be another trial but he will have to serve for sure at least 2 years of it and the NFL still hasn’t figured out what to do with him either as far as I know.

Favre says that he will stay retired but with Jackson rehabbing a knee for the Vikings…I dunno. Will be interesting.

Direct TV to Offer NFL Network

Nfl_logoI dearly love my football and this announcement excites me but also bums me out because I have too many trees in my backyard and behind my property to even get Direct TV. I have had a rep out here and he said that it would be horrible if I got it. My current cable system does not offer it anymore because they said that it was too expensive. The only other option for cable does not offer it either. I’m pretty much screwed in that department and have to go to the bar to get any of the good games that are on Sunday and Thursday.

My boss has the NFL Sunday Ticket as well as the NFL Network and I’m jealous. He also has a humongous flat screen panel so that when he splits the screen into 2 or even 4 to watch a few games at the same time he can actually see what is going on in them all and can move any one of them to the front when something exciting happens. I mean where’s the love for the people who can’t get any of these options? I guess I should get some satisfaction in that the Eagles are at least going to be playing the Falcons this year twice, once in the pregames and once in regular season even though they have never done that before and I could go to any of those games in person which I have never done before but getting the money together at this point in time is sort of tough. I really want to go to the one game in December if I can find some affordable enough tickets. One of my friends from the gym already has box seats for that game in December as he is an Eagles fan too and I’m so jealous.

I’ve had an Epiphany!

golionstshirt You guys should know by now that I am a football fanatic. That’s NFL football only. I consider college ball practice football and arena football pretend practice football. Sure I might get flack from that but so what, those are my opinions. Since one of my friends has moved back to Seattle, who by the way is a diehard Seattle fan, has taken it upon himself to inundate his 2 grandchildren with Seattle garb and then proceeds to send me pictures of it all. Well this past February when they turned 1 he did it again and I’m like you are corrupting those kids. So I had a brilliant idea of getting a couple of printed t-shirts made with the Lions logo on it saying Go Lions as seen above. He would probably be in total shock at first and then start to die laughing but the funny thing is he would put it on the kids too just to take a picture and send it to us :) Now what he would do after that photo op I’m not too sure. inkytshirt

Now this second photo is of my little kitty Inky that died a couple years ago. I could have one of her cute photos on a tshirt and could wear her around forever. These two shirts were mocked up in a couple of minutes as I already had the picture and logo on my hard drive to use. I just needed to pick short sleeve or long sleeve shirt, the color option of the shirt, and to choose my own image. It loaded it up immediately and I got a birds eye view of what that shirt would look like if I had it in my hot little hands. The shirts are 100% cotton which I like and the more shirts you buy the cheaper your discount will be. I could see this being abused by a huge selection of sports fanatics who want to rub their wins in other peoples faces and/or making bets that they must wear an opposing teams shirt.

Reality TV

most assuredly can bite you in the ass and hopefully we will get that chance soon with VH1 getting ready to do a reality show on T.O. from the Dallas Cowboys. If all goes well and they start filming this summer we might get a shot of him getting canned from the Cowboys which I’ll bet will happen.

You got to be careful what you wish for sometimes in these things.

Effin Cold

So we had snow flurries yesterday. Ya, you heard me right, I’m in the south and we had fricken snow flurries. Granted it lasted only about 10 minutes but that is besides the point. I mean it is not supposed to make it all the way down here. Today is just as cold if not colder than yesterday but no snow flurries reported to be seen that we can expect. I was getting pictures and texts from all sorts of people around the state about the snow.

Eagles lost this past weekend, I mean really, really?? They got beat by the Cardinals? Really?? At least the Steelers won and I think they will beat the Cardinals. Someone has to now. I gotta say though Fox had some good graphics with the cardinal and an eagle going head to head before they kept going back to the game.
