So apparently you can get chicken pox without spots. I finally went in for an eye exam apparently after 4 years I found out because I couldn’t see. My eyes were all red just like in the picture (even found some blue eyes which mine are) but I always attributed it lack of sleep since I don’t sleep at night. I’ve had red eyes for YEARS. They never itched though which they do now. It is actually only in my left eye and because of this I cannot wear contacts for at LEAST a month until this virus dissipates. Nothing to do but wait and let me tell you it is NOT fun wearing glasses. I DESPISE glasses. My eye sight is horrendous and my prescription jumped -0.5 in the left eye and -1.0 in the right eye so now I’m at -5.25 and -5.50 which is bad.
I had to get my eyeglass lens replaced urgently since I could not see out of them and you know what? I still cannot see out of them. The virus makes the left eye blurry so that cannot be fixed until after it is over and the cornea clears up. But my right eye? OMG. They are going to have to go stronger once I go back in a month to see if it has cleared up. Typing this right now I am so close to the monitor it is unreal. Driving is a bit tricky to say the least but you know what? I have no chauffer to cart me around. Working out sucks donkey balls too because the sweat drips down my face and my glasses fall down and then drops on the lens and because I have no peripheral vision anymore I can’t see the step sometimes.
Let me repeat…. I HATE WEARING GLASSES!
This better clear up before I have to take the kids to camp or I will lose it. This is like the worst time for this to happen and the worst season too.
Oh and by the way, yes I had the real chicken pox twice as a child. Lucky me.
