Virtual Offices

Monday, April 30th, 2012 | General with 1 Comment

You cannot get away without one these days especially if you are in business for yourself. Sure we have our home offices and your standard work offices but the virtual office is coming into its own. I know a few people who actually are a group of people in which they rent a space so they can meet clients and have a business address to receive work related mail. If you happen to be traveling a lot for your line of work it might be feasible to search out locations to rent along the way.

Virtual Offices in Brisbane would be spectacular. When you rent space in other countries you can obtain a local address, phone number, receptionist if needed, and complete office communication access.

Along with the being your own company, other jobs can require or be in need of a virtual office as well. Take being a doctor. You need to have access to all medical records if you happen to be on call and at home should the hospital call with a question. With the degrees I am obtaining, I will most likely have a virtual office as well because you cannot fix computers in just one place. You need to go where the work takes you but you also need to have access to your information. Maybe one day I can own my own business as well so I would want to have access to this for the office space and communications. It would be nice to run everything out of your house but if you have to meet clients that would not be the most ideal.

MegaMac Challenge

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012 | General with 1 Comment

So every now and then I provide sponsored posts for money on here via SocialSpark. Well, now they are offering a whole MegaMac Challenge for their publishers, ie me, which includes a Macbook Air, 27-in Quad-Core Mac, Apple TV, iPod Nano, and Airport Express. The person who can provide the most referrals wins the entire package. It is a win-win situation for both of us. If you own a blog you can submit your blog to be approved and start earning money blogging about interesting products & services too. Sometimes they even offer samples before you blog about a product so you can try it. I remember one year there was a sample of turkey flavored beer *gag*. Came with a cool turkey hat though. You can pick and choose which offers you are given to do.

Heck, if I win I’d even do a giveaway for the iPod Nano as I use my phone for my music and do not like carrying more than I need to to the gym when I exercise. If you want to earn money blogging please consider signing up under my referral link.

Marking Up Walls

Sunday, April 8th, 2012 | General with 2 Comments

So I was at the local hang out last week after class for some food and noticed the walls were essentially discarded of all paraphernalia. I found out the owner was going to repaint the walls, 2 colors we did not like by the way, and texted the owner to let her know that. It just so happened some friends were there when I got there. We also found out she was going to paint the walls that night. That immediately jolted us out of our seats to grab some markers and start writing all over the walls. You can make the pictures large if you want to see what we wrote. The heart one was for a friend that died last year from cancer. Levi is a friend new grandson. Toothpicks is an inside joke from another friend who moved back to Seattle to work for Boeing a few years back. I’m not sure who drew that picture on the napkin but it managed to stay up after everything else was taken down. It is a steakhouse so that was appropriate.
