I can’t even recall how long I’ve been a Stephen King fan and have I’ll bet every single book under his own name as well as his pseudo name Richard Bachman. I subscribe to his website’s news releases and have recently gotten word that The Dark Tower series will become a Marval comic now *woo hoo*. An exerpt of the press release
The comic series will mark the first time Stephen King has produced original content for an ongoing comic book project. The series will expand the saga of King’s epic hero, Roland Deschain, whose quest to save the Dark Tower is captured in

seven best-selling novels published over the course of twenty-five years. King’s unparalleled storytelling power will inform new stories that delve into the life and times of the young Roland, revealing the trials and conflicts that lead to the burden of destiny he must assume as a man, the last Gunslinger from a world that has moved on. The comics will work in conjunction with the novels, further supplementing and defining the saga’s mythology under the direction of the acclaimed author himself.
1. I read a lot of Stephen King when I was in high school, but they’re a little too disturbing for me now. I think the last one I read was the Tommyknockers. I can’t remember if I read any under the name Richard Bachman, though. I remember one about a crazy cop in a tiny town, but can’t remember the title for the life of me. Do you know which one I’m talking about?

  2. Boy that could be any of them. Offhand I can’t think of any cops that were crazy but a few other characters were in some of them like Needful Things or Misery. Tommyknockers was a bit far fetched though. Dreamcatcher is going to be on TV sometime soon if it hasn’t been already. If you think he’s disturbing now you might want to avoid Kingdom Hospital which was on for a little while as a TV series.

  3. The scariest Stephen King book to me was Cujo. At the time I read it, I owned a Pinto with a bad needle valve. I am always more terrified by the things that actually could happen.

Thanks for stopping by my site.

  4. Is it just me - or did anybody else hate the ending to Dark Tower series?

  5. I loved the Dark tower series and have even begun to read the whole thing again. I thought the ending was perfect. I didn’t feel that it was any sort of cop out, but it just felt right. A comic book series seems interesting, but I wish it could be a series on tv as well.

  6. Well, you never know, alot of his books are becoming movies, this one might be good as mini series as it’s so long.
