Man, when you start hearing rumors at your work place it just does not stop with one. There are many going around at once. Most recently we have been looking for another faculty member but unfortunately our subspeciality is not that popular and then we have the issue of someone else taking it upon themselves to hire, interview and bring in other people we had no input on. Our ex faculty member was at a meeting somewhere and heard there that we had hired someone that is starting July 1st. She called us and we hadn’t heard a thing about it. I guess we’ll see when July 1st roles around because it is pointless to ask because we never get a straight answer about anything.
Then in another related news, I have never seen one of the physicians up and quit without notice but it just happened. Something or most likely someone or someones ticked them off bad because they are on permanent vacation until they get another job now.
