With a lot of people being slapped by g00gle whether you have paid links or not affects how you can sell even the most minute of ads because they hold PR as the utmost of importance when really it is the traffic of a site that needs to be taken into consideration. I mean mine got taken away as well but that did not stop the traffic from coming in and if anything it has increased some. With all of the traffic though you hope to bring in more permanent readers whether if they have time to view the site itself or just through RSS feeds. I personally read just about all of the blogs via a RSS feeder because it would take forever to go to each site depending on how slow or fast they might be.

The idea behind rssHugger is to help bring the readers to the bloggers and visa versa. With this comes backlink building, increased RSS feed subscriptions but more importantly hopefully some steadfast readers and commenters. Yes the technological point of it is important and probably what most people are interested in but wouldn’t you like to know that people actually like reading what you are writing? Interactivity is key.

  1. Page rank doesn’t mean a whole lot to me. Maybe I’d feel different if I was trying to make money from blogging though.
