So, I went and watched this movie over the weekend because honestly I love watching cartoon movies and especially cartoon movies about any sort of animal whether it be little furry animals or our feathered friends. I got to watch it in 2D instead of the stinky 3D which I despise. Got my back row for the quick escape as soon as the credits come up because of all the kids.
Excellent movie as I had hoped it would be. You will recognize Anne Hathaway’s voice as Jewel, the love interest, for Blu. I did not, however, know that Jesse Eisenberg was the voice for Blu. Honestly, his picture looks somewhat familiar but going over his past credits the only one that stands out that I recognize is The Social Network which I did not, nor will I watch. Chris Rock and Will i Am are great together especially their singing. Fun movie for everyone, take your kids and enjoy!

I haven’t been to a cartoon movie since my kids got too old to want to go to a movie with me. Truth be told, I miss them. I did watch “Up” recently from the comfort of my home.

I like the Pixar kind of movies. I LOVE The Incredibles, have you seen that? Finding Nemo and Monster, Inc are very good, too. I think it’s something special when folks can make clean movies that both kids and adults love.

I want to take the kids to see RIO too. I looked at the soundtrack and it’s got excellent musicians, too. Glad to know you enjoyed it!
