It seems like eons ago I took myself on a mini vacation down to Daytona Beach when I had this 3 day free hotel pass to use. One of those days I took myself to SeaWorld since I had never been before and still have yet to make it to Disney. I had a blast watching Shamu and got soaked in the process because I was right in the front row. I loved looking at the penguins and walking through the trail under the water with all the fish swimming around me. Now had there been rides like the Manta it would have made it even more special to me because I love roller coasters unlike a lot of people I know. It just would not have been as much fun going on the ride by myself but that’s here nor there. I should go back down there this summer for my own mini vacation again.
The Manta ride will be open May 2009. SeaWorld is celebrating this new ride with a contest which could win you a “Front-of-the-line” pass to Manta at SeaWorld in Orlando. What you need to do is check out the “Participate and Win” section to do the Manta Quiz which is essentially scouring the website for the answers to the quiz. If you answer the 5 questions correctly you will receive an email from RideTheFlyingRay. You must go through all 6 of the activities to receive your “Front-of-the-line” pass but completing at least 5 of the activities will get you a complimentary electronic photograph of you on the Manta ride.
Last time I went to our aquarium we had a couple manta rays in the pools but no famous ride for them. There is a video clip about the ride on the website too and it looks awesome because the ride is actually in the shape of the manta ray. Be sure to get your quiz done as soon as possible for the May opening.
