I’m sitting here at my desk at work during my lunch hour listening to the rain pelting the windows and the street outside. Thunder crackling and booming every minute or so for the second day in a row. This is supposedly going to be going on all week long so I won’t be able to go outside and sit on the portico soaking up some sun at all this week because of the rain. I don’t mind rain per say but would rather have the dry summers we’re all used to. Another downer to all this rain is that downtown is already essentially below sea level and yesterday on my way to the garage, which is about 4 blocks away from here, I had to wade through water that went up to and past my ankles through a construction site no less because the hospital is building another wing just to get into my car and then drive out through all that murky, dirty water to go home. I have a suspicious feeling today will be just like yesterday. I also saw the usual cars stalled in the 1-3 foot water traps on some of the side streets because they all think their vehicles are invicible to the depths of the water. Maybe one day they’ll all learn. I may have to dig up some pictures we’ve all taken around here when it’s been raining all day long with high tide and the water pools up around the hospital up to like the 5/6 steps of the building. That’s when you get to see cars floating down the road and trucks thinking they can get through but end up stalling just like the cars in the 1-3 foot water. Ah well, maybe I’ll go take a nap for the rest of my lunch hour, I am somewhat tired…

It’s being hte same here in Puerto Rico for the past few days… Many people have being evacuated from their homes. That’s sad. Just hopping things gets better soon.
Great entry by the way… Found you though BlogExplosion!
Wading through puddles of water is not the part I like about the rain. I like the sound of the rain and it’s smell. Getting wet is not part of the deal lol!
I so enjoy the new sites I’ve found while immersed in pamplet printing, bubblewrap packing, etc for the artshow. The first is this weekend.
It sounds like flood alert if cars were stalled. Hope the weather returns the way you like it.
Thx for stopping by and commenting.
Just seeing your header is relaxing. It’s worth repeating. I adore sunsets and airy beaches. The combo is heaven. Beautiful photo of yours!
The pattern here seems to be sunny all week and then rain on the weekends, which gets depressing as I feel like I only ever get a few moments to be outside soaking up some sunshine enjoying the gorgeous weather.
