Quelch Those Sensitive Teeth

You’d think that teeth with no cavities which means no fillings, no crowns, no partials, nothing absolutely wrong with my teeth except maybe a tad crooked on the bottom, missing a few permanent teeth due to lack of space and enough calcium in the teeth to make the dental hygienists think that I have a lot of tartar I would not have sensitive teeth but I do. The funny thing is that they are not all sensitive which probably is odd, I’m not sure. Not only are they sensitive to very cold items but even hot items will get me sometimes too. I usually will drink tap water just to avoid the pain of cold water. A few things will make it worse, like when I chew a minty gum and then drink water, ouch.

Biotene was recently sent to me to try for free. It had a bubble gum flavor to me. Might be different for some other folks. Wasn’t bad though and I did not go out and make a point of trying something especially cold after brushing my teeth but so far I have not had any problems with my teeth which is a relief. Sometimes using a sensitive toothpaste does work and you should not count them out without trying them first like Biotene.
