Okay, so maybe you have or have not noticed I have a shoutcast music block. That’s the station I listen to during work. Well XNetRadio has been down for some time and I have been listening to The Buzz 181.fm. Now the only thing is I like to actually see what I’m listening to in case I like the song and want to get the song and/or album. But in order to do that I need to know who it is which is why I have that. So I have been fiddling with this for some time and I’m annoyed now because they don’t use a static IP. It’s an aol stream. Ya I don’t get it either considering how big that place is because they have more than this station. Anyways….here’s the code and the issue.

Station: http://scfire-nyk-aa03.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1022

Code: // EDIT THE FOLLOWING THREE LINES TO MATCH THE SHOUTCAST SERVER YOU WANT TO SHOW
$host = “scfire-nyk-aa03.stream.aol.com”;
$port = “80/stream/1022″;
$station = “The Buzz”;
// TO GET THE ABOVE DETAILS, LISTEN TO THE FEED YOU WANT THEN DO “PROPERTIES” OR READ THE MEDIA

Now it took me a few media players to even find that station link which I will get to in another thread because I have issues with a lot of media players. So anyways, that is potentially right except the /stream/1022 usually doesn’t exist like on the other stations I use this for and its usually an IP instead of that host. How do I get the sucker to work?

    Hi there! Haven’t seen you on the blog exchanges lately. But it makes sense. Even the mighty Blogmad is pretty much useless nowadays. Entrecard’s where it’s at.
