You know, my boss could probably use something like this because he hasn’t seen his office since the prehistoric era much less use anything that is inside it. He is always traveling to other clinics either in this state and/or in another one and he used to carry around a worldwide beeper because our local one only goes so far. Heck, his cell phone doesn’t even reach to some of these places because they are so remote there is no cell tower. Then if he needs something specific from the chart, I have to fax it to whom evers office we are paying to use.
With small business phone systems, I could see us putting an extension in each of these offices we use for him to be able to use the phone without having to worry about long distance charges, incoming/outgoing faxes - again without having to worry about long distance charges, an Auto-Attendant for when he is in a room with a patient and of course being able to manage extension settings online is key to make sure we are the only ones using it. Of course, with all of the traveling, we would need to use their Toll free number service so as to help keep the costs down for the patients who need to call us out of state or just out of area.
This way, if we add more outlying clinics, we can have a phone/fax system set up which we can do by ourselves or get their professional services to do it for us. If you think about this more, it means certain administrative personnel could potentially be out of jobs and you will be saving a ton of money for your business. Overall, it would be worthwhile and an excellent choice in my opinion.
