You know, I really cannot get past some of the news stories that have been shown on the television. Recently we had what the media called the Carolina Killer who got caught and was killed in North Carolina after he tried to rob someone up there but the murders were down here. You can obviously guess who over shadowed that tidbit of information, Michael Jackson, of course. Why? Why is he that popular? He ended up being a freak near the end with all the plastic surgery and skin whitening. Not to mention his idiosyncrasies towards his entire family.
So in the past month we started with Ed McMahon dying which got trumped by our own Governor Sanford getting outed with his affair with that Argentina woman which made national news. Then Farrah Fawcett dies which gets a minute appearance before it gets totally wiped out with this whole Jackson fiasco. I just can’t understand the appeal in him. Sure he had some good albums but come on. Then you remember that loud mouth Billie Mays who did the infomercials? He died like last Friday and nowhere did you see that in the news. And really, how can LA be fronting the funeral costs in the 1.4 million range? Seriously? Do they not understand how this economy is going? Were they not not too long ago trying to sell off some stadium or something?
Just amazes me.
