icesculpture So last night I helped out at a fairly new annual charity called “An Evening Under the Oaks” which supports the National Kidney Foundation. I helped with the registration of the event for bidding and there was also a live auction. I was also lucky enough to sit right smack in front of this humongous ice sculpture which was beautiful. The event raised a boat load of money for the foundation. What I find interesting is that you always end up seeing the creme de la creme of society at these functions, and guess what, they are normal people too.

I wasn’t able to sample hardly any of the food because it was so busy. I had one of the chefs there grab me a cookie since I knew her. I was plum tired by the time it was over with but had fun overall and will most likely be helping out next year to should they choose to have me back. 😀

Wow! How on earth do they sculpt the detail into ice?
