So how many of you move your furniture around in your house to get a fresh look or new perspective of your living space that you might not have seen due to how your furniture was set to begin with? I’m thinking I want to move my furniture around but that would entail having to completely empty the entertainment stand which is 3 huge pieces and black lacquer (ya I know that phase is out but I have no money to buy something new) and heavy, a 30 gallon fish tank that would need to be drained before even attempting to move it and a sectional that you would ultimately have to bust up into pieces (not literally - it’s already in 3 pieces) but it wouldn’t be able to be a “full sectional” if I moved it because it won’t fit in any other position than it is now. I’m somewhat torn about this. I ended up moving around my bedroom furniture because I wanted a new perspective but ended up putting it right back the way it was not even a week later because I could not deal with the change :/
So I ask you, should I move my furniture or keep it the way it is now? Here’s a couple of little drawings of what it is now and what I was thinking I might do. I’m not sure if it will actually fit like this on the second one because I can’t block the bathroom door and/or the kitchen doorway, plus the front door and the way to the stairs. I’m also not entirely sure that the long part of the sectional will fit along the stairway wall and not block the bathroom door. I’m so confused. :/
Oh and let me just say - don’t ever buy a sectional! It’s just more trouble than it worth. I will never buy another one and as soon as I win the lottery (ya I know I’m wishing) I’m ditching this and buying some regular normal furniture.
* Updated: Alrighty, well as requested, my unclean living room taken on my crappy cell phone camera. And no I did not put up the wallpaper type stuff up, it was there when I moved in. Enjoy!

I would move it. I mean- I’d help if I could but ya know lol. No, really- the 2nd drawing breaks everything up and makes it look more cozy-is there any way the longer part of the sectional will fit on the wall the kitchen door is on? You could always leave space behind the couch and put the fish tank behind it. It’s hard to really get an idea without seeing the room.
I say to move it as well. And I think Beth SHOULD help you.
I personally like things even and straight against the walls as much as I can. That’s just how I am. I wish I could move things around more but our house is SO small you really can’t change anything much. I’m hoping when the hardwood floor is finished we’ll be able to really setup the livingroom as we want.
