So I decided I was going to try to go see the new Harry Potter movie today at the local theatre. As it was raining, not unusual for places to be slow. Boy was I wrong. For starters the line was around the corner. Why you ask? Wasn’t because they were that busy, it was because they only had 1 person working the fricken window for 14 theatres. While I was standing in line an old friend popped up right behind me wanting to go see Harry Potter as well and someone in front of us decided to check at the window to see if they still had seats and nope, the next 2 showings were already sold out. WTF? So we ended up seeing 1408 which was great. It was fast paced and John Cusack was good as usual. It’s a shame I have all these movie passes for different theatres but can’t use them on the good movies. Although I just checked Fandango and can now use my passes on some of the new movies that I haven’t quite gotten to see yet like Die Hard and Ratatouille but I’m still going to aim to see Harry Potter tomorrow.

  1. The new Die Hard is very good. Also, if it’s still around, Mr. Brooks is excellent, VERY underrated.

  2. Since my regualr movie date is a four-year-old. I have seen Ratatouille and it’s so much better than I ever expercted. The story line is OK, but the animation is over the top fantastic.

  3. You already know I saw the newest HP (since I clicked through from your comment on that particular entry)

Although I’ve already seen it I want to go see it again, hopefully mid-day when I’m not so tired. I know I missed so much in it the first time around…it’ll probably take a second viewing to appreciate it.

The new Die Hard is also rockin’ and I can’t believe Wills is still able to do those sort of stunts! Absolutely amazing.

  4. Transformers for me one of the best flicks in a while my wife hated it. I guess you have to been a transformer kid to get it.
