Lettuce Bowl

So we all know how badly I kill plants but one of my friends works at a nursery and she got these awesome lettuce bowls in. I mean who wouldn’t want to be able to walk out on their back porch and grab a few leaves to make a salad right? Well, I’m hoping I don’t kill the poor thing. I was told to place it half in, half out of light so I have it on my back porch where it will get sun in the morning full on and then just indirect light once the sun passes over my backyard. I am only to water it every few days unless I see the leaves really wilting then give it some water. Beyond that I’m hopeless :/

I did cut some leaves off yesterday though and make a little salad with some tuna fish. It was yummy!

Oh my gosh, I haven’t even started my garden yet. oops.

Fresh lettuce is so much better tasting than the store stuff. I am going to fill half my garden with lettuce and greens this year. When I get it going. Yeah.

Well, I’m hoping I can keep it alive lol. They also had spinach bowls but I’m not that into spinach. This one had about 6-7 stalks I could see so I hope it will get me through the summer 🙂
