I have proof really. These are my pants after walking into work today. So much for fixing the storm drains so it would not flood after building an effin brand new building in one of the more notorious flood sections. I was lucky enough to get into the garage without my car stalling from the water on the roads. I took the picture myself so I wasn’t able to bend over enough to get my feet in the shot. Why would you want to see my feet you ask? Good question. This is why.
Yep, my shoes and socks aren’t on me. I have them set up on the trashcan with one of our heater/fans blowing air on them while I can only hope will dry out somewhat before I have to leave this place this afternoon. When I took my shoes off I had water standing in them and when I turned them over in the trash can water came pouring out of them. Almost as much water came out from my socks when I wringed them to get as much water off as possible too. As for my pants, well, at least they are not wet on the back side so I can at least sit down but this really is uncomfortable and I am frackin cold.
Every time it rains down here it frackin floods. People know this. We should be allowed to stay home until the water recedes so we don’t have to go through this every single time. And to make it even worse, damn high tide was at 7 AM.
