So here we have three big ole pine trees that are a pain in my ass. I’ve had to rake up and mow over pine straw, pine cones and the remains of pine cones thanks to a slew of pain in the ass squirrils that one of the dogs managed to kill last year. Then we have the squirrils who will rip the edges of the pine cone and throw the center at you while you are walking underneath the trees.
Now here we have what is left of the three after one day of work. Not a bad days work if you ask me and I have a slew of mulch that is somewhat sticky from all the pine ooze.
After talking with the owner/neighbor today she might end up taking down another pine tree that is in the front yard as it is quite big as well and is somewhat worrisome about a hurricane ripping these suckers up and ramming into our duplex which is a very distinct possibility.
So, when I got home today this is what is left. That little white butt you see in the hole is one of my dogs who decided to investigate the damage. I now have LOADS of mulch that I have no use for so come and get it
So now tomorrow should be free of tree stumps, mulch and left overs and hopefully he’ll take down a gum tree that’s right on the edge of the property as a bonus since it isn’t all that big. Then I guess tomorrow I’ll find out if/when the other pine tree might/will be coming down. Hooray to less pine straw to get rid of. I have enough leaves to get rid of with the oaks, chestnuts and maples.

I wish there was a way for you to keep the trees in the yard. What a nice and big yard you have! It’s always painful to see trees cut down, especially ones so big. I hope you put the wood into good use! I guess if there is a danger with the trees being there, then you should have cut them down. Where I live, it’s hard to see such a large yard with trees; usually, it’s rows and rows of townhouses being built now. So, it’s nice to see trees in yards.
Keep those pines? Heck no…I’m THRILLED to have them gone. I have PLENTY of other trees back there and have to rake up/mow over all those leaves as well. I even have about 6-7 trees in the front/side yard too - hopefully minus that pine and I’ll get rid of the gum tree. That still leaves me about 4-5 trees that are pretty big too. The neighborhood I’m in has about 5 full streets of duplexes and each one has it’s own yard.
