I Need a Doorman

Picture_2 You know when the warm weather comes, so does the dogs need to be outside and enjoy said weather. Well, unfortunately I do not have a doggy door for them to come and go as they please. I am their doorman and I’m pretty sure I’m getting abused too. Pepper, the Pointer can stay outside until the sun comes down so long as she has an ample supply of water. Stormy, the Foxhound, however, is a pain in the rear because she needs to have that security of knowing she can run back inside with me if she gets scared which happens quite frequently. Her torment to me is running at high speed and slamming her body into the screen door until I come open it. She runs in, I go sit down and she is in my face again to go back out. I think it is a test to see if I will come running even though she is not barking.

North Coast Pets has these inventive doggy doors that are actually right beside the main door itself instead of inside the door which I was never partial to to begin with. It is a shame I am not in my old duplex with the sliding glass door because they were made for that perfectly. I am afraid though that my dogs might not use the door because they would have to do it on their own instead of me as their doorman. Aside from the doorman issues, they almost always pound flat their beds that are in the crates and/or their actual beds upstairs when we sleep. I actually put old towels on top of them to make them a bit more comfortable. I can never figure out how they manage it. Might have to invest in some of pet beds since they are at a phenomenal price from North Coast Pets. I am always pricing them when I go get their dog food and they are always over $20.00 in the stores and at this point I need all the discounts I can get.
