Hospital Attire

scrubsYou know recently there have been some issues with hospital attire and without going into too much depth they were unfounded. Recently the hospital went to colored coded scrubs to help the patients differentiate between staff whether it be the physicians, to nurses, to techs. You get the idea. Some of the colors you have to wonder about because the dietitians have to wear to brown and the techs have to wear black. Needless to say they are not that flattering. The nursing scrubs, however, are a teal blue for the LPNs and a dark blue for the RNs. Not bad considering in some of the pediatric areas they have some of the walls colored a teal blue which match and potentially if they are standing in front of that wall they sort of blend in. Nice eh?

The physicians have standard medical scrubs that is given to them by the hospital of course stamped with the hospitals name all over it. They are a pale blue to somewhat match the hospitals logo. You really would not believe how comfortable wearing scrubs are though. Gives you the freedom of not having form fitting clothes that some people like to wear because on an instant sometimes those might hinder you in movement.

Recently I was offered the chance to review some scrubs from Blue Sky and have been very pleased with them. I received my package promptly after ordering online and was pleasantly surprised to find a cap in with my scrubs which was packaged in a hard box like you would receive a Christmas gift oddly enough. I liked that touch. Ordering the scrubs online was an enjoyable experience as I could choose a color from their color palate as well as from 2 different styles. The prices are very reasonable and actually beat out some of the prices you could find around here in the local stores. I would definitely have to give them a thumbs up all around and will definitely order more as I need them from Blue Sky.
