I just found out that all us lowly state employees receive a cost of living raise this July 1st of 4%. Yippee!! Now I think I will go have a drink after work celebrating lol.

You mean that someone other than the state legislature is getting a raise. You must be kidding! If SC is anything like Washington it’s probably five raises for congress to one for state employees.
Probably, the only other way we get our “annual raises” is if the department get audited. Needless to say I really can’t remember when we were last audited. I’ll take any raise as I can get it lol
Sounds about like the military raises.
I hate the damn mosqitoes as well. There can be one ten miles away and it senses my “sweet self” LOL
