I swear the holidays just creep up on people without warning and with the economy the way it is, I’m sure there are loads of people who are still wishing it was the summer so they would not even have to think about having to spend money this holiday season. I should have been more prepared. I say this every year when November comes rolling through because I always mean to start my holiday shopping early so I can actually utilize Kmart Layaway to help me spread out my payments instead of slamming myself all in one to two days like I normally do which then leaves myself short but it never happens. I even managed to save some money throughout the course of the year in a savings account then something always comes up and I have to use that as well. It’s a no win situation on that front but actually being smart enough to use the layaway program, there’s something. I should probably start writing these things in my calendar on a weekly basis months before so maybe that will kick start me into shopping early because then I could come up with something better than gift cards. I could get some electronic items which just about everybody I know loves especially my boss who likes the electronic toys. Of course I’d have to add something for my computer to the list as well. You guys still have time though to put some things on layaway for Christmas and have more thoughtful gifts than me. Actually I should get out there today and do the exact same thing since I am off. It is laziness I tell you, sheer laziness if I do not get this done today.

I was glad to be reminded about Kmart’s Layaway option because I would really love to get all new pillows for the beds, new sheets, new towels. Layaway would let me do all of that without going broke!
Not even close – but it’s the same every year. We starting talking about it in October and end up finishing it December 23.
