Have you been Spocked?

You ever been searching for someone and could never find anything on them? I have and it gets really annoying but not as annoying as when you get a slew of links for the name but you then have to sift through them all to see if it is the right one because they do not give quick descriptions. There is a new people search website in beta that just opened up. I searched for myself and got nothing. Searched for a few other people that I wanted to try to get in touch with again from high school but found nothing as well. This leads me to believe I have kept myself well hidden. That can be a good thing at times but bad when maybe the same person you are looking for is looking for you. There is a way around it and it is to join Spock and input where you want people to be able to find you.

For kicks I did a quick search on one of my favorite authors, Clive Cussler and only found one. Guess you don’t come by that name often enough. The search was fast with no obtrusive ads or pop ups to get in the way of the information. The information right off the bat is what all searches should have included so you know that is the right person without having to click all the links. It included tags for a novelist and writer with a quick sentence stating when he was born and that he is an American adventure novelist and successful amateur marine archaeologist which a lot of people might now understand in reading some of his novels which I love. As seen below, they also have the availability to give you a search widget either in flash or javascript for you to use.
