The closest thing we have to a professional baseball team in the city is the Riverdogs. I went to a game a couple of years ago and I can’t remember why I stopped going to them. It was fun and entertaining. Then I got to thinking back when I was a little kid when I started collecting baseball cards while I we were stationed in Germany. It was always a treat to go to the store every week to pick out the package of cards with the bubble gum and put them in my metal tin to keep them safe. I even traded cards with my sister who also collected them just for the Giants cards and I believe I might have a full set of them back from the late 70s still tucked away safely in that same tin. Getting San Francisco Giants spring training tickets would be an excellent score. I’ve never been to a training session but I would hope we would be able to catch fly balls and possibly get them signed while we are there just like in the regular games.
