Furlough Time Should Equal Vacation

tower So obviously recently I mentioned that we are having to take furlough days to help save them some money in the budget just for this physical year so far. Lord only knows what sort of disaster awaits us come July 1st. Now with all of these extra days I am having to take off and not allowed to do any work what so ever or even answer emails, which is a joke because I still get emails from whomever is covering my phones to call in prescriptions, I still do not have any money to go anywhere on these days off. I mean I was off last Friday and Monday and did not do a flipping thing. Why? No money. Even if I had a little bit of money I need to save it because I have no idea how my check is going to look minus the amount they are taking away from me. And I think what kills me the most is I still get emails from the person who puts the time in the system for me to get paid and asks where I was that Friday when I had the time off sheet saying it was my furlough days on her desk when she was sitting right there 2 days prior to me being off. I cannot fathom why they disappear all the time.

Right now I really need a vacation from all of this stress and watch the sun go down on a lake or ocean. Just to be anywhere but here and not have to worry about spending huge amounts of money. Well Kissimmee is giving away 3 weekend getaways for two and two week long vacations for four with drawings on 5/1/2009 and 6/1/2009. They already had their drawing on 4/1/2009 but I did not receive a phone call or email so I guess I did not win one. Maybe I still have a shot. You think? Might even get lucky enough to stay at the Mike Ditka Resort but only if there are football players there too. Otherwise I chose to lounge around the pool area and soak up a ton of sun. Maybe catch a couple of movies I am behind on. For some reason I love walking through all the gardens as well and I think the Bok Tower Gardens would be lovely to tour. I even have gone through our gardens here in the city and it is always so peaceful.

Wow. That’s tough. Ironic too. Here you are taking time off to save them money, but you have none to take “off” time for yourself. Something is not right with that picture. Ya dig?

Hi! I really hope that you can win one of those vacations!! That would be awesome :)

It stinks about being forced to take more time off and not get paid when you need the money. We have layoffs here during winter and it is really tough!

I added you to my new blogroll at http://fromhuskiestohusbands.blogspot.com as I have moved all new blogging for From Huskies to Husbands there instead of my Today.com blog with the same name. I would love it if you could add me to your blogroll too!
