Four Foods on Friday #94

Time to learn more food facts according to me. If you are not interested you can move along. As always be sure to check out Fun Craft and Recipes to join each week and to spread the news so others might join as well.

Blasted post was supposed to be up just after midnight but the thing messed up :/

1. How do you make mashed potatoes?
I like using red potatoes, just clean the skin off, cut them up, boil them, then toss in some butter and use a masher because I don’t like using a blender, and then put in enough milk to make them a little shiny and moist.
2. What do you wash pots and pans with?
Dawn liquid and a sponge.
3. Name something red in your refrigerator right now.
Ketchup
4. Do you prefer to use boullion cubes or the boullion powder mix?
Never used either one. What exactly are they for?

I never make mashed potatoes. I tied of them because we ate them so much at home. I always hated peeling the potatoes and made a promise to myself, that once I moved away from home I would not peel potatoes anymore, and I would not make mashed potatoes. I’ve been married almost 40 years and have kept that promise. I love baked, I like to slice them add spice to them in a foil pack for the grill. No mashed for me please. :drink:

I also use Dawn, but no sponges. They hold too much bacteria (from everything I’ve seen anyway). I used a regular cotton dish cloth and or scratchy thing when needed.

Ketchup would be my red thing in fridge as well as a red onion.

Boullion, never use it either. Though I used to keep it on hand for when someone was sick. It’s a nice addition to tea when you feel lousy.

I rarely use bouillon. So rare that I usually end up throwing it out!
