Time to learn more food facts according to me. If you are not interested you can move along. As always be sure to check out Fun Craft and Recipes to join each week and to spread the news so others might join as well.

1. Stuffing. Boxed or from scratch?
Neither. For some reason I have always hated this no matter how it is cooked.
2. If you were served the perfect Thanksgiving dinner what would it be?
Turkey no gravy, mashed potatoes no gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, blackeyed peas, maybe some mac & cheese and of course tons of pumpkin pie.
3. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving leftover?
4. Share a recipe using turkey.
I like mixing my turkey with some rice and vegetables and/or just making it into a sandwich.

Mac and cheese! I miss living in the south and having easy access to yummy mac and cheese made from scratch. 🙂

I get the impression you don’t care for gravy!

Blackeyed peas is a new one! My North-Carolina-born-and-bred friend makes blackeyed peas every New Year’s Day and says it’s a Southern thing.

Oh no, what would turkey and mashed potatoes be without gravy! Can’t even imagine it. But my dad also don’t enjoy gravy, so I guess we all have our own tastes. Here in South Africa, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving to the same extent, but more and more Halloween celebrations are seen every year. So, who knows, in a few years that big Thanksgiving meal may be a given here as well – with or without the gravy…

I’m just the opposite, I live for the gravy and practically drown my turkey and mashed potatoes in it 😆 .

We might have to add mac & cheese to our holiday spread. That sounds really good right now.
