Four Foods on Friday #50

Time to learn more food facts according to me. If you are not interested you can move along. As always be sure to check out Fun Craft and Recipes to join each week and to spread the news so others might join as well.

1. Pasta. How do you tell when it’s done? Do you cook on medium or high?
I’m a taster. I’ll start pulling pasta out after a few minutes or so depending on what it is because I like mine almost cooked. I’ll cook it on medium-high because I don’t have the patience for anything lower lol
2. Deep frying. What kind of oil do you use?
I don’t deep fry at my house. That’s a no no for me. I’ll bake things off.
3. Grilling. Do you grill on foil or directly on the grill?
I don’t own a real grill. I use my George Foreman grill and cook directly on it as it is easy clean up.
4. Share a recipe that involves cooking something two different ways. Example, for lasagna you might fry the meat and bake the whole dish.
I actually will do potato and egg dishes like then. I have done potato slices with some salt/pepper/garlic powder mixed arranged in a pan in a circle stacked up and fry it on one side, flip it, fry it on the other and then toss it in the oven to finish off. Eggs, the same way almost, get a big ole pan of eggs and load it up with veggies and cheese if you like then toss it in the oven to finish off.

I try to cook everything on high too. You can tell by looking at the pans under my burners that I boil stuff over all the time. LOL

No frying here, either! I don’t even eat fried foods when I’m dining out, except for french fries occasionally and maybe some fried shrimp once in a while.
