Oh ya, I had another blood draw this morning from the RN and I still have bruises from last weeks draw she did. Now mind you I have a damn good vein in my right arm, you can see it 24/7. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has had problems getting blood from it except from her twice. Today was the final straw. She couldn’t use my left arm because it was still bruised so she went for the hand. She blew the vein. It hurts like hell and is mostly a slight bluish hue at the moment but by tomorrow it will be black if not black and blue. The research coordinator poked his head in there to see if she needed anything because she was the part-time nurse because the regular one was out today and she said can you draw blood. Now mind you normally these people don’t have any experience in any of that because they are not usually nurses, etc. Thankfully it just so happened this guy was an EMT before this stint and I was blessed lol He asked me which vein they normally do and I showed him and told him it goes sideways because it does and he got it in less than 2 minutes and I was done. I can tell you I will never forget this lady and she will NOT touch me again because honestly I don’t think I can deal with it lol I got so shaky after the hand draw I had to have candy even though I was supposed to be fasting because my blood sugar tanked.

drawing blood scares me so much…I don’t even know why
it sounds like they didn’t know what they were doing, which is not comforting at all.
