Eye Prescriptions

Well, I finally, after 4 years apparently, got another eye exam this past weekend. Honestly, I thought it was at least 2 years since the prior one but I was sorely mistaken and figured my eye sight had deteriorated exponentially again but I was again sorely mistaken. It seems to be on a hiatus right now and staying the same thankfully but I was still out $400.00 for the contacts and new eyeglasses because I broke my last pair which are probably 10 years old if not older. I still have to get 4 more boxes of contacts because I have 2 different prescriptions in my eyes and I don’t wear overnight contacts. That irks me. Now why all of these things cost so much is beyond me. The cheapest frames I found were $99.00 and hopefully pretty sturdy. I try to get the smallest glass size possible to alleviate the thickness of the glass because if I got bigger sized glass frames the glass part itself would be way thick. I probably should have bought mine at Zenni Optical like the The Clark Howard Show recommended. I know I would have saved myself a lot more money than just the $10.00 off the eye exam my insurance only offers me. I mean really, what is the point of insurance if it does not pay for anything?

I hate eye exams. I hate trying to read a chart that I obviously can’t see!

At least this guy didn’t ask me to try and read the big letter by itself because I can’t even read that one. A couple times he asked me to read a few things I told him it was just a white blur.
