Living on the coast, you cannot help but have a love of the wildlife out in the ocean whether it be friendly or not. Any movie with turtles and dolphins in it especially I am interested in because I will go out to any of the beaches, but most of the time near the lighthouse, and watch them at dusk jumping in and out of the water. The dolphins are so graceful swimming around out there when nobody is in sight it is a wonder there are not more movies out there with them in it like Eye of the Dolphin. You can even Win Free Movie Passes to Eye of the Dolphin for opening night if you are lucky enough. Some parents and/or children can relate to this as the teenager (upcoming star Carly Schroeder) is forced to live with her father (Adrian Dunbar) after her mother died and ends up finding an unlikely friend in a dolphin although for most people it might be a pet. Either way, something surely can be learned from this for all no matter what your take is on it. Eye of the Dolphin comes out August 24th so pencil it in. You can find the trailer on YouTube.com.

  1. Cool! I swam with the dolphins in the Bahamas, I think maybe at the same place this movie was made. It was sooooo cool — and I learned tons of amazing dolphin facts when I was there. It was on Grand Bahama island. It looks to me like this is a really good family film and I’m going to go see it when it comes out. Thanks for letting us know about it!!! x crystal:wink:

  2. I checked out the trailer for Eye of the Dolphin, and I have to say I’m looking forward to seeing it! It looks like a great family movie. I love dolphins, but aside from that I like the fact that it revolves around a father daughter relationship. I would like to see more father daughter stories out there! I saw Carly Schroeder in Gracie, and thought she did an amazing job. She seems to take on strong roles that are also physically demanding, which is rally cool. I’m looking forward to seeing her portray another strong character. Thanks for the heads up!

  4. Just gave the trailer for Eye of the Dolphin a look and I must say it looks like fun. It seems like a film the girls can really sink their teeth into and learn from. The actress seems like she kicks some butt in this movie and who doesn’t want to kick some butt? And who doesn’t want to watch the pretty beach with fun animals in it during summer? I want to go the beach and swim with dolphins! But since I can’t, I think I’ll go watch Eye of the Dolphin.

  5. How refreshing a teen movie that has a little substance. It’s good to see a movie that tackles the simple issues that teenagers face these days. Instead of glorifying the ridiculous dramas that adolescence brings.
Carly Schroeder is also a pleasure to watch and I look forward to seeing her in another role that allows her to be physical. She’s not just another girl in a skirt trying to decide what color lip gloss will attract the most boys.
All in all I look forward to checking out, especially if I can get free tickets.
