Yeah, people have been known to call the ambulance for "belly pain" that turns out to be gas...I'm sorry..ER= EMERGENCY room..not bleeding, not dying, got all your body parts attached?...not an emergency</description>

		<description>I can't imagine why any one would spend the money to go to the ER in the US and pay all of that money over diareah unless it had persisted for quite some time and they were worried about dehydration or some serious medical condition causing the situation, or that could be affected by the situation.

In Canada that sort of thing happens all the time, but it's part of the side affect of the free health care system.  We have a shortage of family doctors and for that reason a lot of people are forced to go to the ER for routine medical needs, because they don't have a family physician to go and see.    None of the General Practitioners in my area are accepting new patients.  Luckily, I've had my family doctor for years.</description>
