I had a hell-ish day on the roads yesterday and no amount of yelling at imbeciles seemed to work ! Like you, I prefer to drive in the fast lane, and unfortunately in Mumbai - it seems that NO ONE understands the rules of the lanes ! You have some of the slowest, most idiotic drivers on the fast lane who have the nerve to pull up again next to you if you pass them from the left and shout that you passed them ! it's like 'buddy if you can't drive at the speed limit - don't block the fast lane' !!! The worst thing is that people are not only on the phone, they are busy trying to multi-task; and then to top it off the road is full of people crossing when the lights are still green for the cars; no one uses the zebra crossing (wait who am I kidding - they don't exist); cows / animals on the roads; and bikers with families of 4 and 5 on their bikes !!! Now that's sheer frustration if you ask me ! Sorry for the rant - but I know you're gonna feel me here ! Oooh I feel your frustration on this post .. They weren't even doing 65 so exactly what was the point in being in the fast lane to begin with. It was not rush hour so there was no excuse for these people to be in the fast lane if they are not even going to do the speed limit. Pick a lane and stay in it. Changing lanes just slows down every driver as they have to adjust for the change in situation. Next tiem you drive, pick out an easy identifiable vehicle that you consider slow moving. There is a good chance you will see them multiple times on your trip as you speed up and then slow down.
