How many of you got the wrong cell phone and when you tried to text the buttons were so small and so close together that you kept mashing all the buttons you did not want? Then when you tried to dial a phone number, the same result. Some of those phones out there are all well and good if they are more targeted for people with tiny hands or kids but some of us need the bigger button pad and brighter screens whether we have big hands or bad eyesight. Heck even some of the ringtones aren’t loud enough to hear. My boss ran through a couple of phones until “I” found one that had a big enough number pad on it because he kept mashing all the buttons together and it took him forever to make a call. It also just so happens that this phone had a screen that had bigger text on it so he could see it too.

A Senior Cell Phone is great for seniors or other people who prefer to have bigger buttons, brighter screens, and easier to hear ringtones. Some elderly who are still active in the community really should have a cell phone as an emergency precaution in case something should happen to them. These would be an excellent option. There is also the option of pay as you go cellphone service that starts at $10.00/month because they may not talk on the phone as much as say teenagers and would not need all those minutes.

  1. I think this is very considerate. Cellphone manufacturers should be given an award for making these senior cellphones.I will inform my neighbor on this. Even at 55, he is still active in his mortgage refinancing business and I know he will love to hear this news on cellphones.

  2. Yeah, it is getting harder and harder the smaller the phones that come out. If you watch the show The Office, they were making a satire on it as well. Everyone in the office got Blackberry’s, but a few couldn’t use the buttons, while the younger manager was emailing away.
