Daylight Savings Time

Okay, I understand someone signed something to have daylight savings time extended essentially for a whole month to supposedly save energy and whatever else but the computers don’t even recognize it. I had to change every single computer I own plus my cell phone which did not recognize it either. Now what’s the point of having technology if it’s not going to do stuff for you?

I certainly know what you mean. Something like this should of been really simple to manage. Although some items did change the time for me: Servers at office (including Exchange) – I had the updates ready; The Treo cells we have at the office also changed correctly.

What didn’t work: My home PC’s and my PPC-6700 cell which has Windows OS – go figure..

I agree whole heartedly. We had to manually change everything…

I know what you mean. I also did the same thing to several computers. Nothing serious though. Just a series of updates if you own a large number.

I got lucky. Both my computers changed their times on their own. They both run Windows Vista. My cell phone didn’t change it but then i turned it off and turned it back on and it reset to the correct time.
