Apparently we have some neighbors now that like to leave their cats outside to get run over or killed by other dogs that people think don’t need to be kept on a leash or in a yard. Well, last night I had the back door open so the dogs could come and go as they please like I did over the weekend because the weathers been so nice. It also just so happens that one of the cats was wondering through the neighborhood again and decided to either be really brave or really stupid and come in my back door to because I saw the cat skulk over to Peppers bed in the kitchen and then the dogs got a wiff of the cat and it was on like Donkey Kong. They were slipping on the tile floor and banging through the back door after the cat. I ran after them to make sure they didn’t catch it which they didn’t but still. I kept my cat indoors when I had her and Pepper knew that Inky was good because she was her playmate but any other cats she saw outside were fair game. Animal kingdom and all. I can’t help it if they are stupid enough to come into my place with 2 hunting dogs but I can only hope they are fast enough to escape with their lives before they come after them.

I’ll never understand why people get cats and then let them roam around. It pisses me off.

Funny. I kept my cat in the house also. Today I was looking out the backyard, mine is a totally fenced one, there was a cat carrying the little bunny. The one we saved from the lawnmower a couple days ago. Just can not understand the owners of that cat. Years ago my niece was staying with us. She ask me when did I get a cat.I said,”I don’t have a cat”. Her response was “there is one downstairs on the chair”. The Neighbors cat came in sometime and spent the night in my house!! thankfully I did not have a Dog. 🙂

    Poor bunny 🙁

You could have had a new pet had the cat not been around.

What kills me is some of the dogs that are roaming around too get loose from their own backyards because they dig under the fence and then crawl under one spot in my fence to get in my backyard.

Ah yes – it sucks when people don’t understand animal behavior and nature, and don’t do the research to educate themselves.
