Customer Service or Aggravation?

Say you call up your local cable company because your neighbor ran over your cable box again which they stupidly put right next to his driveway and let them know you have no cable TV, no internet and no phone service, and when would they be out there to fix it? Well, they first check the lines to see if they are off which they technically are not I guess and then ask me well aren’t you calling from your home line? Uh no which is why I put in the automated system when calling in that the number I was calling from was not on my account. Then I get told well we cannot get out there for a few days. Nope, that is not going to fly with me. I was not the one who ran over the cable box and it was not only me who did not have service. I just happen to be the only one who has a cell phone too. I then ask for a supervisor because I was not satisfied. I get the supervisor and get the same story about them telling me it was not off or disconnected. I retell the story about the neighbor running over the box and how many of us are affected to which I finally get the response I am looking for which is someone will be right there. That took about 30-45 minutes to get resolved. Now when I get home I like to chill in front of the TV so obviously I was ticked off.

I have talked with a lot of different vendors customer service and I must say 3/4 of them are not there to help you and do not care what you are telling them. It is nice to have a site to see what other people have had to say about the same vendors I use regarding their customer service because it really is the backbone of the company and they are the ones representing it essentially. Rate and Review Customer Service. Free, Fun and Easy is a great way to tell your stories about the companies you use and help others to either avoid them or use them. There are different categories so you can get to a particular section you want quickly. Doing a quick search for my cell phone carrier, there is no review on them. I have mixed feelings about them at this point. The actual people in the stores are just after your money rather than helping you but their actual 411 customer support is great and I have yet had 1 single problem with them in that regards. Hopefully if there are enough complaints and/or credits regarding the companies, they will actually do something about the bad customer support or on the other side of that congratulate the ones who are doing an excellent job. We all are essentially a customer service representative in some capacity of our jobs including mine and sometimes it is nice to know you are doing a good job or where you can make improvements.

  1. My first thought when I read this was oh no not again! Haha. We have comcast cable in my town and they’re awful. I dumped them years ago and got DirecTV and have never regretted it!
Check out my link, I hope you like it.

  2. I wish I could get DirecTV sometimes but you have to face that west and I have a mess of trees back there so I would get no reception what so ever. The installation guy told me so. At least he didn’t just install it and me not get anything.

  3. Directv are awesome. Every time i have had a problem i have called them up and if they haven’t been able to fix it over the phone they have sent out a technician within half an hour. I think you should get it.
