Well, the new eight lane cable stay span will be opening up close to a year earlier than expected this May/June. You can see the other two bridges (Grace Memorial and Pearman) in the background which will be torn down and put as artificial reef’s around the area. This will also be the last time for the Cooper River Bridge Run to be on the Grace Memorial. There’s almost 45,000 people registered last I heard because people want to say they were there for the last race on the old Grace Memorial Bridge.
