Acting Balance has taken over the Meet Me on Monday. Thank you, thank you!

1. What are your plans for St. Patrick’s Day?
No plans. Probably just some homework.
2. What is your favorite room in your house?
Living room due to my big ass TV.
3. What ‘gadget’ do you have that you can’t live without?
Blackberry
4. What will your first thought be when you learn that you won a lottery?
Holy crap!
5. Other than Acting Balanced and your own, what is your favorite blog to read?
I have a whole slew of blogs I read and keep them all tucked nicely in my Google Reader.
Acting Balance has taken over the Meet Me on Monday. Thank you, thank you!

1. What is on your bedside table?
Alarm clock, phone cradle to charge my Blackberry, NookColor charger and the NookColor for charging, TV remote, box of tissues, candle with some cough drops and chapstick on the base of it, and just recently a tiny lamp because I have no overhead lighting and I was trying to rifle through the table for a piece to one of my watches, which I never found by the way.
2. Hardback, Paperback or E-Reader?
Love hardback but no room for them anymore since I got rid of my insanely huge entertainment stand so I bought a NookColor. If any of you people have any leave a message so we can be friends and share books! I now have all of my books in boxes and I am trying to pawn off the paperbacks to friends but will NOT part with the hardback books, most of them are 1st editions.
3. What is your ‘go to’ drink of choice?
Whiskey but most recently I have been enjoying some Bahama Mama’s. If you meant on a day to day basis, Diet Dr. Pepper or water maybe with some Crystal Light or the Sugar Free Grape Kool-Aid.
4. How do you like to spend your birthday?
At home alone and comatosed in whatever means necessary. That’s legally people, like alcohol. Nothing illegal going on at my place.
5. Finish this sentence – I would never be caught dead in …
So many places and clothing to choose from I have no idea where to begin.
It looks like someone else has taken over the duties of this. Thank you, thank you. Oddly enough Acting Balance is located in my state as well. Closer than I might think looking over some pictures as I see that bridge everyday on the way to work
Here we go!
1. What was the first live concert you ever attended?
Def Leopard
2. What colors look best on you?
Honestly, I’m not a stylist so I have no earthly idea. I do know I’m not too particularly fond of purple or red though and won’t buy them – or rather make sure my coworker doesn’t buy them for me because I don’t go shopping either as I hate it. I give her money and she buys me clothes, very well I might add.
3. What is one thing about you that most people wouldn’t know?
Hmm, not really sure. What you see is what you get.
4. Who would you call to be bailed out of jail?
One of my friends.
5. What do you think is the greatest invention of your lifetime and why?
Blackberry. I can’t go anywhere without this thing. I use it for my school schedule, my work schedule, my google reader, email, an extra phone number using google voice as my “home” phone so I don’t have to give people I don’t want to my cell phone number. I can play games on it.
Talk about your hillbilly jobs. I had to clean out the washer to use it as there was dust and dirt in there as well as everything else because apparently these people don’t clean after themselves. There are so many holes between the plywood you have NO idea. Then the turds did not turn the water back on to my washer which I found out when I tried to use it. Well, no wonder water was flying everywhere. I got the hot water to completely stop dripping but the cold water kept going. Figured I’d do laundry and fix that one after I’m done since it wasn’t dripping on the floor as it was coming from the spigot itself and where the washer water gets dumped anyway from the hose.
After 2 loads though the floor was completely drenched in water and I was like WTF? I thought they must have gotten a hole in the hose somewhere when they were moving all that shit around. Of course I wasn’t going to stop the laundry because I needed clothes for this week and it was outside on cement. I ran through the entire hose, no leaks. Odd. Where’s it coming from then? I checked all the connections, the cold water line is dripping from the back of the washer too. Must really be going to town when it fills. I bought some Teflon tape to wrap around the threads. Cut the cold water completely off after I was done yesterday and letting it dry to fix tonight. If that doesn’t work I’m gonna have to call someone in then I guess.
So classes started yesterday. I’m already not feeling it this semester. I actually have to physically show up to one class because it is not offered solely online. It is a mixed mode which means some of it is in the classroom and some of it is online. Okay no problem. Found a class that is after work and is only 1 day a week. I go to said class tonight which is from 6 PM to 7:21 PM. Sit down, log in, check my other classes online waiting on the instructor. 10, 15, 20 minutes go by. Still no instructor. One of the students goes across the hall to see if the instructor is in his office. No instructor. I leave by 6:30 PM. Now, online where you register for classes it is showing that the class is closed which means canceled.
One of my other classes requires a prerequisite that I do not have as there were technically 3 options and I have 2 of the requirements done but the instructor was specifically looking for this one class so I have emailed him and am awaiting a response to see if I need to swap classes. I need to get this done before the 20th as I cannot obtain more books on my grant after that.
Then, as I technically can graduate this semester so long as I complete 3 courses including an economics course which I know I will despise I am thinking of doing a double major and now need to talk with my advisor to find out how I can make sure the classes I have already taken can go toward that other degree as well and still graduate this spring.
So my boss was ill on Monday and could not get anyone to cover for him in clinic. I was with him all day Monday. I caught his illness :/ It started coming on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and by Wednesday night I thought I had been run over by a truck. I’m spewing brown phlegm now so hopefully this means it is going away. Just wish the coughing would stop because I feel like I have to pee every time I cough now. Nothing like being sick over the holidays *not*
I’m not sure the weather is helping any either since we have been having high 70s. Yesterday was actually 79. I had the back door open all day long. I opened the back door up this morning too when the dogs wanted out again around 9 AM. It’s still open and I don’t fore see it closing until it gets dark either. I’m staying housebound again today as I still feel like crap although I really want some orange juice so I may run out one time to pick some of that up as well as milk.
Hope you guys don’t get sick over the holidays.
Merry Christmas!
