So classes started yesterday. I’m already not feeling it this semester. I actually have to physically show up to one class because it is not offered solely online. It is a mixed mode which means some of it is in the classroom and some of it is online. Okay no problem. Found a class that is after work and is only 1 day a week. I go to said class tonight which is from 6 PM to 7:21 PM. Sit down, log in, check my other classes online waiting on the instructor. 10, 15, 20 minutes go by. Still no instructor. One of the students goes across the hall to see if the instructor is in his office. No instructor. I leave by 6:30 PM. Now, online where you register for classes it is showing that the class is closed which means canceled.

One of my other classes requires a prerequisite that I do not have as there were technically 3 options and I have 2 of the requirements done but the instructor was specifically looking for this one class so I have emailed him and am awaiting a response to see if I need to swap classes. I need to get this done before the 20th as I cannot obtain more books on my grant after that.

Then, as I technically can graduate this semester so long as I complete 3 courses including an economics course which I know I will despise I am thinking of doing a double major and now need to talk with my advisor to find out how I can make sure the classes I have already taken can go toward that other degree as well and still graduate this spring.

Christmas Sickness

So my boss was ill on Monday and could not get anyone to cover for him in clinic. I was with him all day Monday. I caught his illness :/ It started coming on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and by Wednesday night I thought I had been run over by a truck. I’m spewing brown phlegm now so hopefully this means it is going away. Just wish the coughing would stop because I feel like I have to pee every time I cough now. Nothing like being sick over the holidays *not*

I’m not sure the weather is helping any either since we have been having high 70s. Yesterday was actually 79. I had the back door open all day long. I opened the back door up this morning too when the dogs wanted out again around 9 AM. It’s still open and I don’t fore see it closing until it gets dark either. I’m staying housebound again today as I still feel like crap although I really want some orange juice so I may run out one time to pick some of that up as well as milk.

Hope you guys don’t get sick over the holidays.

Real – love the smell of them.

I do not put any trees up as I do not decorate my place.

Elf. So far I have watched it at least 10 times.

8. Favorite Christmas cookie?
Anything chocolate.

9. Where will you eat Christmas dinner?
At my house and it will most likely be a sandwich or some leftovers.

10. Angel, bow or star on top of your tree?
Star and angel if I remember correctly growing up.

11. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Everybodies so darn chipper especially in the mornings (not a morning person).

12. Do you like Fruitcake?
Not particularly.

13. What are you most excited about the holidays?
Well, initially I was excited to be going to the Bahamas for Christmas but that got kabashed.

14. Do you open presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
Used to be Christmas morning, however I open them when I get them now.

15. Will you still be wrapping presents on Christmas Eve?
No, I will have all my shopping done.

Old Things

So this weekend I FINALLY did my Christmas shopping. As a matter of fact, most of it last night because I’m that slack.

I ordered one gift online last week which got shipped to a coworker yesterday while she was on her way to Georgia for her nephews graduation from Georgia Tech so I picked it up on my way home so no one would steal it.

Last night I hit up Wal-Mart for a gift card because that is what my coworker wanted for Christmas (I asked her). I don’t like guessing at things. Usually I get her a Kohl’s gift card.

My other coworker I usually get gift cards or if Avon puts out a special Christmas Barbie I will purchase one of those because she has been collecting them since she was a little girl and has amassed quite a collection which is insured there are so many and quite expensive now due to some of them being so old and in perfect condition. Anywho, I happened upon the B&N website and lo and behold they were offering a Christmas Barbie so I immediately bought it for her and it will be shipped this week.

Two of the physicians I usually buy wine for unless I can find some good Giants garb for one of them which I never scouted this year so they both get a bottle of wine.

Our nurse in the clinic I bought an O’Charley’s gift card from me and a coworker.

Now my boss is always difficult to figure out. He LOVES any electronic essentially. More gadgety more the better. I was unsure what to get him aside from the usual $10 iTunes gift card because he has everything Apple. Upon researching Hoth Cocoa which had Chewbacca I ended up on thinkgeek.com and found a cool iPad joystick so I bought that for my boss and will have to tell him NOT to use the gift card until he gets the package.

Anywhoo, what does all this have to do with the picture of my teeth? I went digging in my closet for the umpteen amount of Christmas cards I have to put the gift cards in and a scarf i’ve been missing and wanted to wear. So unpacking box after box I found an impression of my teeth that was done immediately after I got my braces off back when I was 16/17 years old. The top still look the exact same way but the bottom one does not. One of the teeth have turned inward a bit because I stopped wearing the night guards a LONG time ago. Probably almost immediately after I got the braces off because I didn’t care. Still don’t either. I found some of my old cross stitch stuff I had done. I also found the scarf *bonus*

1. Monday’s are _________?
Annoying, painful, tiresome, a hassle. Umm, those are the only mild adjectives I could come up with. I despise Monday’s.

2. What is your favorite kind of milkshake?
Duh, chocolate. If I can get dark chocolate more the better.

3. What monthly bill do you most dislike paying?
It used to be my electric bill when I had a roomie because it was insane but since that is under control I guess my rent because that is the most expensive? I do not have any bills per say except for utilities and car insurance.

4. How many email addresses do you use on a regular basis?
I log into 4 separate accounts but my gmail acct has 4 other gmail accounts filtered into the one so 8.

5. What color lights are on your Christmas Tree?
I don’t put up a Christmas tree so therefore I do not have any color of lights.

1. I really need to clean my _________?
Yard. I meant to mow both lawns today as I always do my neighbors because she can’t as she has MS but by the time I was really motivated to do it the Eagles were getting to start. I still should have done the yards as bad as they played after the 1st quarter.

2. What food makes you think of Christmas?
This might be odd but pumpkin pie.

3. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
Hmm, I already look anywhere from 5-10 years less than what I am now. Would I have to actually live that time period as well? If not then I’d choose my late 20s some time.

4. What was your first paying job?
Taco Hell. I worked my way up to management before I even graduated high school.

5. Have you read the Twilight series?
Why yes, yes I have. It was a fluke really because I didn’t have any more books to read and one of my friends said here you would like this and gave me the series and I was hooked just like the Harry Potter books.

1. I wish I had more time to _________?
Honestly, I’m not sure what I’d do with more time. I just got back from a vacation in Orlando and am back to work now. Maybe an extra day to recoup from vacation?

2. What is your favorite kind of soup?
I don’t particularly like soup because there is not enough stuff in it. I don’t like drinking broth. I will make my own version of chicken noodle and minestrone though with just a smidge of liquid. I like having something to munch on.

3. Where will you eat Thanksgiving dinner?
I will be at home with the dogs as per usual probably with a grilled cheese sandwich and my homework, tons of homework.

4. What is your favorite time of day?
Evening

5. Did you start Christmas shopping yet?
Heck no, last minute shopper right here and they are mainly gift cards.

Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf

Today’s the last day here in Florida and we watched a horrible movie (Paranormal Activity 3) but first we played 18 holes of putt putt. We were ahead of a couple of 6-year-old’s who kept playing when we were on the green. It was driving me crazy because the adult with them wasn’t able to rein them in apparently. For dinner we hit up Dave and Busters and played Wheel of Fortune game and got a boat load of game tickets.

Here are a few picks of the putt putt course. We played the course that had the highest peak above the water falls which were cool looking.

Universal Florida Adventure Island

This is where I went today. I roamed through Hogwarts and Hogsmeade (completely forgot to get pictures of these). Road a couple great rides. Traveled through the Marvel section and got to see Captain America, Wolverine, Storm, etc (yes they were fake ones – not like the stars are going to be there everyday). Got a little wet on a couple of the rides. The day looked a bit ominous as it was raining when we first got there but cleared up pretty quick.

Took a tour at Poseidon’s Fury. Here are a few interesting photos from that section.
