Cars Fixed

Why exactly do they have 3 different versions of a car battery? I’m all for the cheapest one so long as it will make my car run. I got a jump this morning and got to work praying I did not stall the car at all because just my luck I’d end up doing that during traffic which was horrid and be stranded. I should have just ridden with my friend and dealt with the car when I got home. As soon as I pulled into the garage and shut the car off it died a fast death. I knew the battery was toast then and would need a jump when I was leaving. Called Public Safety and they took their sweet ass time getting to me and in the meantime I saw at least 40 cars pass by me on the way home. I was standing beside my car waiting for Public Safety to show up in a vehicle and did not want them to miss me.

I get over to Autozone and they test the battery and it cut the actual machine off because it was so dead lol Guess that was a new one on them. I guess it was a good life for the battery as it is original to the vehicle and lasted almost 6 years. They got me for $60.84. Luckily I get paid Wednesday so I just wrote them a check.

They do it to make things more confusing than they already are…

If the vehicle has several engine options (4 cyl, 6 cyl, or 8 cyl)each have different cranking requirements so they each get their own battery… Also a car with AC gets a different one from the same model without AC, and usually even a different output alternator…

I don’t see why we can’t have just a few different sizes and the auto makers build the vehicles to fit them…
