Bloggers starting out are sometimes not really that savvy when it comes to getting a domain name and hosting for said domain which makes the free blog hosting appealing until they become more aware and/or would like to get their own domain and hosting. This in turn benefits them whether it be for earning a living, more professional in a general sense or just to have the secure knowledge that they will be able to keep the posts, comments, etc without it being deleted on a whim of the owner of the free service. One such blogger had 2 free blogs (which you can find at Girly Things and One Clear Dot) operating without a hitch until she had to go to her grandmothers funeral only to return and find out that her blogs were taken down and subsequently locked out of her account for a 2 week suspension all due to the trippy owner of the free blogging service disagreeing with the blogger giving her child Benadryl which was recommended by her own physician.
Now if free blog service owners are going to monitor and police the blogs they are hosting and strip them down due to something they disagree with then they need to put that in the ToS. But my better response would be to just grow up. Just because you may disagree with others parenting skills, which makes me wonder if this person even has children of their own and how they raise them, doesn’t give you the right to strip someones blog down which they make a living off of because you can. I have known quite a few parents who give their children Benadryl, whether it be medicinal, recommended by a physician for long trips because it does make them sleepy, or as in a close friend who gives it to her child on a nightly basis because it helps her airways open up and breath instead of snoring, that is their right as the parent and not someone elses. So go give some love to Girly Things and One Clear Dot and remember free blogs can come with a horrible price when you have free blog service owners who think they are above everything and everyone else.
